Gail Hill

Gail is a retired Superintendent Secretary from Plainwell Community Schools and brings experience in faith community leadership. She currently volunteers as the Program/Yearbook Chair for the Philanthropic Education Organization (P.E.O.) and previously served on the board for Good Hands Plainwell. Gail has a passion to help people become all they can be.

Donna Gorton

Donna is a retired financial advisor and business owner and brings experience in finance and accounting. She previously served on the board for Baraga Manor and Sylvia’s Place and the Finance Committee for Christian Neighbors. Donna currently serves on the board for Good Hands Plainwell and Chairs the Outreach Committee at St. Stephens Episcopal Church.

Heather Swanson

Heather Swanson

Heather is a Getting Ahead graduate whose personal experiences provide the board with insight from the perspective of a program participant. She has experience in special event planning and has volunteered her time for Getting Ahead, Staying Ahead, and office duties. Heather is currently enrolled in college courses and works in Plainwell.

Bridges of Hope - Karen Koehn

Karen Koehn

Karen is a retired Treasurer for the city of Plainwell and brings experience in finance and accounting. She is part of Women Who Care in Allegan County and currently serves as Board Secretary for the William Crispe Community House and the Plainwell Area Community Center. Karen also volunteers for Good Hands Plainwell and has great compassion for those in need.

Bob Benson

Robert Benson

Robert provides experience in business management, special event planning, and finance/investments. He takes communion to area nursing homes and is an Assistant Deputy Grand Knight for Knights of Columbus. He previously volunteered at St. Vincent DePaul as an Intake Worker. Robert enjoys helping others.

Bruce Bridges of Hope

Bruce Ruhl

Bruce runs a family music ministry and, through it, has gained experience in special event planning, nonprofit governance, accounting, public relations, media relations, marketing, and faith community leadership. He also volunteers during our Summer Enrichment Program. Bruce is very interested in helping in the community.
